Develop an on-going 5 year Land Systems strategic roadmap. Assess the emerging technological areas with up front EFW involvement by establishing personal relationships with agencies such as DARPA, Army TRADOC Centers and Schools, Battlelabs, Army Material Command and subordinate MSC's and equivalent USMC orgranizations such as MARCORSYSCOM. Preparation or roadmaps of key areas where the US land forces are going in the next 10 years, with emphasis on major areas such as future combat system (FCS), Tactical Wheeled Vehicles and C4I. Assess annual service budgets and long range plans (Program Objective Memorandum) to recommend key areas to target within the service and which are in line with the EFW Land Systems long range roadmap. Partnering with Washington colleagues, establish personal and professional relationships with the Army and USMC service staffs.
