Summary: The Tax Director is the leader of the tax function for the organization. The Tax Director ensures compliance with all national, state and local direct and indirect laws, as well as ensuring that the corporate tax strategies are effectively implemented . This involves interacting with external taxing authorities, external advisors and consultants, as well as with the internal business leaders, to ensure that all records and information are available, and to ensure that all new business initiatives are structured in the most tax efficient manner. The Director must: Understand the Corporation's tax structure, and ensure that it is implemented and complies with the laws of all the countries in which we operate and develop improvements to the tax structure and to the processes to improve efficiency. Understand and advise on both the cash and accounting tax consequences of different structures: work with Accounting and Treasury to provide the optimal solution.
