Job Description:
Responsible for executing and managing income/special events and meeting predetermined income goals within assigned region. Manager will ensure the successful execution of volunteer recruitment, volunteer cultivation, event logistics and event collateral. You will work with current volunteer committees to implement established special event action plans for one or more signature events, such as: Relay For Life, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, and/or other fund raising event or activity. Responsible for meeting the goals and objectives established in your individual Performance Achievement Communication Tool (P.A.C.T.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manager will oversee and ensure successful continuation of established and/or new income events within assigned region by working with volunteer committees to successfully implement overnight, community-based fundraising walks
· Identify, recruit, train and work with key volunteers to implement successful action event plans
· Must be able to handle multiple projects, review and prepare event schedules and meet critical deadlines
· Attend and participate required regional event meetings, conference calls and other trainings as needed to maximize success of events
· Manager must monitor progress of income goals, make decisions based on observances, and adhere to division spending guidelines
· Assist in identifying and recruiting volunteers to implement new community events within assigned region
· Handle and coordinate event logistics and planning as prescribed for large-scale community events.
· Manage written communication, product sales, and collateral distribution
· Development and stewardship of returning and new corporate and individual sponsors, and explorations of new revenue opportunities
· Maintenance and management of accurate and complete financial records for each assigned event while ensuring implementation of data collection for each income activity, including income/expense information and donor/volunteer records
· Works in a team environment to effectively represent the Society and its mission in the community.
· Attend evening and/or weekend meetings and/or events
· Work with other seasonal signature events and support other income teams
· Support and maintain a working knowledge of the Society's mission and its programs


Job Requirements:
· Minimum of 2 to 3 years of successful fundraising or event planning experience. Must be flexible in attending evening meetings and/or events
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, plus ability to work in a team environment
· Experience recruiting, training and delegating to volunteers
· Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
· Works well with limited supervision
· Can solve problems independently
· Must be computer literate and able to work with proprietary software
