Job Description:
The Controller works closely with the offices of Budget and Financial Aid and will work at times with the SVP for Finance and Administration and the Investment, Audit and Finance Committees of the Board of Trustees Responsibilities will include: . Providing leadership of a 10 person organization providing accounting, payroll and accounts payable services . Cash Management and Bank Account Control . Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and full year forecasts . Manages the year end closing reconciliation and preparation f financial statements in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles . Coordination with the auditor and other departments to ensure external audits and reviews are properly supported . Preparation of all funds budget and quarterly reports . Ensure all federal, state, and local tax requirements are met including preparation of IRDSS Form 990 and sales tax filing . Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CPA required. 3+ years of management skills. 5+ years financial experience using GAAP. Strong leadership, technical, and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communications skills. Knowledge of state and federal regulation, law, and auditing requirements. Ability to plan, implement, and direct a varying range of accounting and associated information systems projects and initiatives.
