Job Description:
Group Lead (Assembly – 2nd Shift)
Location: Lake Mary, FL
Compensation: $14.50-$15.00
Relocation: Not provided
REQUIREMENTS/ KEYS TO POSITION:
• Manufacturing experience (electrical or mechanical environment beneficial)
• Assembly experience
• Group Lead/ Management experience (15+ employees at least)
• Ability to work on own
• 2nd shift
• HS Degree
SCOPE:
To direct personnel, material flow and interfacing with all functions that are required to complete the assembly of Outdoor Equipment (assembly & wire) while maintaining production schedules and quality to the highest degree within the work cell environment.
REPORTS TO:
Manager – Production Areas
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinating and directing the employees within the section to support schedules and priorities.
• Coordinating material flow and balance within the section.
• Coordinates between shifts to meet the production and quality outputs.
• Responsible for overall group performance including productivity, quality, safety, training and housekeeping within their work cell. Works with the Section Supervisor to resolve issues within the section.
• Interface with all functions for job starts and problem solving.
• Expediting and coordinating material shortages to support schedules.
• Maintain team and individual performances of all personnel, especially time and attendance.
• Responsible for on time shipments within the section.
• Maintain job transactions daily for each employee within the section.
• Act as back-up Group Lead when other lead personnel are not available.
• Enforces all company work rules and corrects unacceptable behavior.
• Maintains a safe work environment and corrects unacceptable behavior.
• Maintains the section to the site housekeeping standards.
• Recommends improvements as needed to improve section performance.
Safety and Environmental
Drive high standards for safety and housekeeping and assure compliance with all environmental regulations
SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED and College level course-work preferred.
• Five (5) years experience in assembly & wiring or equivalent
• Knowledge of Outdoor Products and processes is preferred.
• Must be an effective communicator to the section.
• Computer skills in the ERP system (SyteLine), Lotus Notes, Excel and Word
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Eye/ hand coordination
• Frequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
• High stress environment.
