Job Description:
Responsibilities: Planning and implementing effective strategies to recruit and retain donor groups who will sponsor collection operations, working to achieve established blood collection goals and ensuring sufficient numbers of specialized donors (aphaeresis, bone marrow, plasma, stem cell, and automated whole blood) to meet program needs. The Account Manager will develop potential group leads, educate donor groups in organizational requirements, provide ongoing support to donor groups and implement appropriate special donor recruitment programs. Assigned Territories throughout Connecticut. Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or related field. Two to three years of experience with direct sales is highly desirable. Knowledge of group dynamics, point of purchase/customer service, sales techniques and negotiation skills are required. Excellent verbal and written communications along with training and presentation skills are required.
