Responsibilities Accounting Manager Job Summary: Responsible for the daily operations of the General Accounting department, including hiring, evaluating, disciplining and terminating employees; maintaining the general ledger; preparing monthly and annual financial statements and tax workpapers for all entities; coordinating annual audits for all entities; managing the fixed asset system; assisting with special projects and financial analysis; and operating the department within annual budgetary guidelines. Reconciles intercompany accounts and patient refund accounts and reporting of unclaimed property, reconciles P/R cash account. Performs ME balance sheet reconciliations, daily patient accuity. This position also functions as a resource to others in the organization with financial questions. Educational / Licensing: Requires a BS/BA degree in Accounting with a minimum of three years of balance accounting experience required. Supervisory experience required. Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles Experience in accounting specific to Healthcare Knowledge of full cycle accounting processes.
