Job Description:
The Branch staff performs a variety of related accounting and processing activities which includes voucher examination, auditing and recording of financial documents, correlation with Treasury Disbursing Offices for disbursements of funds, issuing bills for receivables, receiving and depositing receipts, and entry of accounting data to automated accounting and payment systems. In addition, the Branch provides assistance to field offices in resolving payment, financial or Commerce Business Systems budget related problems, audits travel vouchers and payments through statistical sampling methods, and maintains documentation and historical files on all payments and collections to respond to inquiries.
