Develops performance plans and rates employees. Interviews candidates for subordinate positions and recommends hiring, promotion, or reassignments. Takes disciplinary measures, such as warnings and reprimands. Identifies developmental and training needs of employees and provides and/or arranges for needed development and training. Accomplishes audit and reconciliation of General ledger transactions, accounts, and database systems, which are affected by a number of appropriations, allocations, and allotments. Qualifications: You must possess 52 weeks of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band that has equipped you with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position shown above. The creditable specialized experience is: Experience in accounting and financial management for diversified programs Knowledges, skills, and abilities that are needed to perform the duties of this position are: Knowledge of concepts, principles and practices in the areas of financial management and accounting. Knowledge of main frame computer accounting systems, applications (word processing and spreadsheets) and project management techniques are essential.
