Job Description:
Indispensable DJs is a Mobile Disc Jockey service looking to hire assistant DJs/roadies to work at various events, mainly weddings, in the Peoria area. Responsibilities include unloading/loading of equipment, setup/teardown of equipment, taking musical requests, and also entertaining an audience. We are looking for people who enjoy having fun entertaining others. Qualified applicants must be energetic, motivated, and enjoy music at loud levels for hours at time. No equipment or sales required, as you'll be working with a DJ on gigs Indispensable DJs has already booked. Knowledge of equipment and music is helpful but not required, however, an open-minded desire to learn about DJing for diverse crowds is essential.
Job Requirements:
- You must be able to work Friday evenings (rarely), Saturdays, and Sundays (rarely). Indispensable DJs usually gives assistants 1 to 2 months notification on the schedule to allow flexibility with other work, school, or personal commitments.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have your own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
- You must be willing to purchase proper dress attire. Tuxedos are rented for you if required.
- You must be able to lift equipment that weighs 50 lbs. or team lift up to 150 lbs.
- You must be able to adapt and have good people-skills.
- You must be able to communicate fluently in English.
- You must have a basic knowledge of music from the 50's through today spanning all genres.
