Job Description:


Oversees the bankruptcy function including oversight of external counsel litigating on behalf of BGE. Develops and administers systems and policies for obtaining and ensuring continued credit worthiness of all customers including 3rd party energy suppliers. Handles appeals from customers, advocates, and regulatory/state/federal authorities. Oversees customer account investigations and customer credit scoring functions leveraging varies tools and systems. Oversees operation of the Automated Collection System, the Predictive Dialer, the collections IVR, Documentum, the various interfacing systems, and all bill payment channels. Oversees contract negotiations with 3rd party vendors and ensures proper contract administration of these vendor relationships. Ensures compliance with all regulatory, state and federal laws and mandates related to credit, collections, and customer account payment related matters. Plans, staffs and organizes to meet workload requirements and customer expectations. Establishes Section goals and assures that objectives are attained at the least possible cost. Ensures effective liaison role between BGE and community groups and associations in matters relating to Accounts Receivable. Looks for transformational opportunities, recommends improvements and modifications in processes. Establishes and monitors the Section\'s budget. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications 1. Bachelor\'s degree in a related area of Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics and 5 years job-related experience or the equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience. 2. Working knowledge of business office equipment and software applications, including Microsoft Office, eTime, and Outlooksoft. 3. Working knowledge of COMAR (Code of Maryland Regulations)
