Description Monterey - Salinas Transit (MST) GENERAL ACCOUNTING MANAGER The General Accounting Manager will monitor execution of operating and capital budgets; monthly financial reports, and audit financial transactions; supervise processing of payroll, payables, receivables and General Accounting. Knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and GASB principles. Federal, state, and local financial and grant regulations, rules, and guidelines as it relates to public agencies. Experience with federal DOT, FTA and/or state grant programs a plus. A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Public Administration, Finance, or a closely related field. Six years of additional qualifying experience may partly substitute for the required education. Must be proficient in Windows environment (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Financial Accounting Software).
