Our client, a major manufacturing/consumer products company, is looking for a high energy Sr. Auditor for their Maryland operations. The ideal candidate will have recent public accounting experience working with manufacturing clients. This position will require heavy travel up to 70% of the time throughout the U.S.
Position Description
*Assist in conducting audits of assigned business activities.
*Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the accounting and administrative controls within those activities.
*Evaluate whether organizational units are performing their planning, accounting and custodial activities in compliance with management objectives, applicable statements of policy and procedures, and in a manner consistent with both company objectives and prudent business practices.
*Develop recommendations for the correction of control deficiencies and improvements in operational efficiency.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
BS/BA in Accounting.
*3-4 years experience within Public Accounting Firm (this is required without exception).
*At least 1 busy season as a Senior Level Auditor, preferably 2.
*Experience with manufacturing clients.
*Financial auditing background.
*CPA/CIA/CMA Certificate desirable.
*Willing to travel approximately 50-70% is required. Up to 4 consecutive weeks of travel at various times.
