Job Description:
The Assistant Controller will work with other departments to obtain necessary information for financial reporting, and develop and implement standard operating procedures specific to the Accounting group. Responsibilities: Proficiency in cost accounting; must be able to support operations transitioning from a research organization to a manufacturing/production company Ability to continue development and refine the costing process as Pathway Medical’s operations mature Prepare internal management reports, with support from the Controller Work with Controller to generate creative ideas that produce an efficient finance group; ability to make suggestions and act on ideas Work with Controller on budget reviews, projections, models and reconciliation Assist with financial statement preparation, reporting, analysis and review Assist in establishing and implementing procedures to continually improve and reduce closing cycles Requirements: Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting or equivalent; CPA preferred Minimum of 5 years experience with management accounting experience, preferably in a medical device environment Solid experience working with Finance Systems/Applications Strong analytical skills Effective interpersonal and communication skills with coworkers at all levels.
