Job Description:
Join Aquilent as a Business Unit Director of our DoD Health IT sector projects. As an integral team member, you'll enjoy the challenges of planning, controlling, executing, and reporting on multiple web and system development projects. You'll be responsible for identification and development of customer business requirements while taking on account management responsibilities for customer management and account growth.
In this newly created opportunity you'll provide leadership and mentoring to the project team consisting of various technical and functional staff. You will develop, maintain, and enforce internal project management processes and procedures consistent with the Project management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and CMMI. You'll develop Risk Management Plans and mitigation strategies.
Job Requirements:
You'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing the Project Management Plan while playing a leadership role in business development and proposal development efforts. Local travel/commuting between Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland will be required as you assist the sales team with sales calls and opportunity pursuits.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
8-15 Years Professional experience, with at least 5 years experience leading large projects or programs.
Experience in TRICARE, Military Health Systems or other Health IT Solutions within the federal (DoD) arena
Prior experience as a Project Manager of web development or system application development projects
Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility
Experience in Federal IT consulting
Significant Business Development or Account Management experience
Success in growing accounts and growing new business
Strong communication and writing skills are required.
Strong interpersonal skills, customer relationship management skills, and flexibility are a must.
Significant experience working with or for the Department of Health and Human Services
Desired Skills:
Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute is a plus
Experience in TRICARE, Military Health Systems or other Health IT Solutions within the federal (DoD) arena

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 8-15 years of Professional experience.
