As a medical technology school located in Houston, TX, we are dedicated to providing quality training to individuals interested in the allied health care fields. We are currently seeking a qualified Financial Aid Administrator to join our friendly team! This position could be for either of our locations: NW (610 and Hwy 290) or at our SW location (Southwest Freeway and Beechnut).
Financial Aid Administrator
Responsibilities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to perform the following: • Conduct financial aid interviews for all applicants and enrolled students • Provide payment options based upon financial aid eligibility and complete installment agreement for students • Maintain complete and accurate financial aid records • Process all student financial aid applications for grants, loans or any other aid programs • Reconcile start files and process repacks • Accurately schedule all aid and student payments in class • Work closely with Financial Aid Servicer to ensure timely cash flow and reporting • Ensure all required verification documents are in file before requesting payment on the student's ISIR • Work closely with FA Manager to ensure all student payments are made timely • Ensure all students have completed all entrance counseling requirements before authorizing disbursement of funds • Complete all weekly/monthly financial aid reports and provide weekly updates to Director and FAD • Stay abreast of current financial aid regulations and/or changes by all means possible, such as the web, FAME newsletters and seminars • Provide excellent customer service
Job Requirements: Requirements: Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, computer literate and self-starters. High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 2-4 years work experience with financial aid (specifically Title 4) is required. Exceptional time management, organizational, customer service and communication skills are also essential. Candidates must be professional and serve as a positive role model to prospective and enrolled students. Candidates must also be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
