The Finance Manager Business Development acts as a strategic partner with the VP/Directors of Business Development to develop analyses and financial recommendations associated with licensing and acquisitions for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics/Veridex and Therakos operating units. Actively participates on disease state teams, assessing the commercial opportunities of novel content and developing integrated business cases to determine their financial viability. Provides strategic forecasting of New Business Opportunities as well as budget vs. actual costs for appropriate Franchise Development. Qualifications The successful candidate must possess a BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; an MBA is preferred. A minimum of 7 years professional work experience is required. Previous Business Development experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in Excel modeling is required. The ability to develop presentations for senior management using PowerPoint is required. Experience with business case development, cost accounting, marketing accounting, Investment Banking, and Licensing & Acquisitions is preferred. Experience acting as financial lead on a project team is preferred. CMA or other relevant certification is desired. Experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical diagnostics industry is preferred. This position requires up to 15% overnight travel.
