Creates, maintains, and approves set estimates. Performs vendor shipment data reconciliations into Oracle/GTP and resolves supply chain related problems and interface errors.Supports product design and is responsible for making sure that book divisions utilize approved vendors and established standards programs. Monitors and reports on vendor performance and assures that vendors are adhering to quality requirements, service standards and negotiated pricing. Ensures correct product specifications are resident in the computerized ordering system, and makes data entries as necessary.%0A %0A Essential accountabilities include:%0A %0A · Prepare cost estimates; compiling individual unit costs of components to calculate unit cost of completed set. Calculates kitting charges from scales and enters into purchase order system. Works with Corporate Estimating to ensure correct cost of text is utilized in set estimate. Finalizes set estimates and reports cost information to accounting. Analyses vendor pricing and confirms that set costs remain consistent.%0A · Responsible for placement of manufacturing purchase orders to corporate approved suppliers, ensuring correct pricing is utilized and schedules are consistent with business unit requirements.%0A · Authorizes transfer of media products to international suppliers to support Book Operations in efforts to reduce costs. Perform scheduling maintenance of all reprint orders and monitor status updates of all projects.%0A · Resolves buyer messages in Lawson, resolving receipt and pricing discrepancies and authorizing payment of manufacturing invoices. Identifies and resolves purchase orders update errors between MSS-Oracle and Oracle-Lawson, allowing for entry of stock receipts
