Job Description:
Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington seeks a Controller to be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of all accounting functions, and for the review and approval of monthly, quarterly, and financial statements, external reporting including cost reports, and other requested data for presentation to internal management, the Board of Directors, financial institutions, governmental agencies, and other funders. The Controller will also review and approve financial information generated by the accounting staff for completeness and accuracy of coding information in accordance with oversee and/or prepare monthly reconciliations of all balancer sheet accounts and designated income statement accounts to ensure the accuracy of the financial information being reported, manage all aspects of various audits as performed by external auditors, oversee and manage the day to day cash flow and prepare the monthly cash projections for review. Additional Qualifications: This position requires an advanced degree; is highly preferred, 5+ years of experience in a senior-level accounting position. The successful candidate will have current knowledge of the application of and provisions under Circular and how they apply to non-profit organizations; experience with healthcare organizations highly desirable.
