Job Description:
Translation Project Manager
Mid-town NYC translation agency with fast-paced & exciting work environment looking for an experienced bilingual project manager (Spanish, Italian, Japanese preferred).
Requirements:
Fully bilingual in English & Spanish, Italian, or Japanese.
Computer literacy in Translation Memory Tools such as Trados, Déjà vu, Wordfast, etc.
Computer literacy in both PC & MAC applications.
BA degree.
Duties:
• Accept assignments from Sales, Operations Director, or previously-established client
• Establish delivery deadline and estimated price with client (if not already set by Sales team)
• Contact translator/interpreter and set appropriate deadline and compensation
• Review, proofread, or edit (depending on knowledge of language) translations returned from translators before sending out to clients
• Perform any Translation Memory analysis and projects, as needed
• Perform any extra layout or DTP, as needed
• Return translations to client in timely (ie. early) manner, along with an accurate, clear description of pricing
• Archive projects in the FLOW project database
• Submit billing/invoice information to Accounting Department in timely manner (ie. upon project completion)
• Address any comments, complaints, or miscellaneous issues clients may have with the translation process or quality of work
• Maintain or build solid customer relations with regular clients through e-mail or telephone
Benefits:
Compensation: $35,000 - 55,000/ annual salary depending on experience
