Description: Lead monthly derivative accounting process, including valuation of derivative instruments, coordination of collection of valuation inputs, perform assessments of new derivative transactions entered into by the Company and all other derivative related accounting activities. Assist in budget-to-actual variance analyses and other needed analysis with Regulated/Unregulated/Reporting accounting personnel. Effectively document significant accounting transactions in memorandum format for the accounting file and for distribution to external auditors. Monitor and ensure adherence to internal controls. Assist in annual financial statement audit. Research accounting treatment on pertinent issues and understand new accounting pronouncements' impact to financial statements.
