Responsibilities: Research, document, create and maintain policies, where appropriate, and provide recommendations to senior management and other departments within Deltek for transactions and events which require the application of significant professional judgment relative to technical accounting standards. Evaluate existing and newly issued accounting pronouncements from the to determine the impact on the company. Prepare filings including assessment of disclosure requirements for new pronouncements, guidance related to the specified areas, as well as preparation of the notes to financial statements and supporting schedules. Responsible for monthly financial statement consolidation and elimination adjustments including Company's foreign subsidiaries. Maintain and expand technical accounting knowledge base by staying appraised of new pronouncements and interpretations as they apply to our business. Participate in technical accounting committee along with other senior leadership in the finance and accounting organization chartered to ensure the company is timely evaluating all new standards. Read and summarize legal contracts and other documents to analyze accounting implications. Perform due diligence associated with targeted acquisitions and lead finance integration activities for completed acquisitions.
