Job Title: Tax Manager JobId: 095 Description: Tax Manager - Tax Accounting (position reports to the Director of Tax Accounting) The core functions of this role will include: - Researches and interprets accounting pronouncements, especially as they apply to new or unusual company transactions. Assists with future transition to IFRS. - Prepares quarterly forecasts of effective tax rate. Compares amounts to previous estimates and actual results and explains variances to management. - Supports the accounting for income tax processes under FAS 109. Serves as primary contact with external auditors on quarterly reviews and audits. - Manages SOX Compliance. Serves as primary contact with internal and external auditors on testing and other compliance issues. - Manages SEC tax-related reporting and disclosure and required certifications. - Manages FIN 48 reporting and disclosure. - Prepares miscellaneous tax studies and performs other related assignments as requested. Minimum Requirements: - Bachelors degree in accounting - Five or more years of directly related professional level experience. - Extensive knowledge of tax accounting principles, as well as federal and state income and franchise taxes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze and interpret accounting rules, tax laws, regulations, rulings and court decisions.
