Job Description:
This growing firm is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their team. You will be responsible for growing the New York office and establishment and maintenance of accounts payable practices to ensure accurate and reliable data that is necessary for business operations, work with the accounts payable clerk to ensure payments are processed on a timely basis, reconciliation of accounts with vendors, streamline the accounts payable cycle, preparation of various management reports including monthly cash requirements and monthly expense accruals, review vendor expenses to ensure expenditures have been properly budgeted, assist with the SAP implementation of the North America vendor file, prepare and file year-end 1099 forms, review travel and entertainment expense reports to ensure expenses adhere to Markit's travel and entertainment policy, matching, batching and coding invoices including proper General Ledger coding, preparing check runs, wire transfers, daily Check List, continually educating departments regarding the purchasing./payables/cash disbursement. policies and procedures, and assist with external audits. This position will be essential for the growth of the office and the company intends on finding the right individual for the job. You must have prior supervisory experience and a Bachelors Degree.
