Position Description:As part of the audit team, the Audit Director will be responsible for: Managing and driving the success of multiple audit engagements. Supervise audit team field work and coordinate activities with clients. Review work papers and financial statements checking for accuracy. Participate in billing and collections process. Keeping lines of communication open with staff and clients. Keep Directors/Partners informed of client developments as required. Train field audit teams on various accounting topics. Manage engagements within budgetary and time constraints. Anticipate and address client concerns as they arise. Promote new ideas and business solutions that result in extended services to existing clients. Keep abreast of latest developments as they affect Firm and the Firm s standards and policies. Attracting, developing, and retaining top talent. Position Requirements: Minimum of ten years recent experience working in a public accounting firm. Minimum of one-year recent experience working as an audit Director. Proven record of managing numerous audit engagements as main point of contact with client. Experience in communicating with clients and senior management.Additional Experience preferred, but not required: MBA or other advanced business degree is a plus. Experience working for a large regional national public accounting. 2+ years Director level experience is preferred, but would consider someone with less depending on the nature of prior work experience.
