Job Description:
Responsibilities Participate in senior management meetings and cross-functional business and cultural development activities in order to understand unit's operations and investments. Establish tax policies and procedures for unit consistent with other GE units. Drive implementation of tax programs, and other tax initiatives responsive to external environment, within areas of assigned responsibility. Advise and counsels unit's leaders about unit's tax affairs. Work with unit's leaders to implement key tax initiatives for maximizing cash flow and minimizing financial statement tax expense while maintaining highest standards of compliance and integrity. Establishe internal policies and procedures for reporting of taxes, payments of tax liabilities, conduct of tax audits and overall management of tax risks and opportunities. Lead unit's tax team in support of organizational objectives and individual career objectives. Qualifications Juris Doctorate law degree from accredited law school, CPA certificate or equivalent professional license. Minimum 10 years of experience working full-time as tax professional on multi-state, multi-national clients' matters, and strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations. Minimum of 1 year experience working with tax-related financial accounting principles, and ability to evaluate complex proposals and anticipate, identify, and resolve tax-related risks and opportunities. Minimum of 1 year experience working with governmental officials and agencies on tax-related matters and with external auditors of multi-state, multi-national companies.
