Job Description:
The Senior Import Accounts Payable Manager has a key financial role within the corporation. They have diverse oversight of multiple teams and will support and develop functional processes to facilitate International Trade Finance and Accounts Payable transactions for International Food Purchases, International Merchandise Purchases, Foreign Freight Consolidation, International Freight, Transload, Customs Duties & Taxes, Buying Agent Commissions, Royalties, and Miscellaneous Al' transactions. They will develop strategic trade finance programs to expand the payment options provided to our suppliers and lead corporate initiatives. They will develop and oversee financial audits & controls; approve financial transactions and accruals; develop external relationships with banks and service providers; prepare reconciliations, analysis & reporting. Leads and develops the AP management team supporting Supplier Payments, International freight, Customs Duties & Taxes, Buying Agent Commissions, Royalties and over 20 miscellaneous transportation & importation fees. They must develop knowledge to ensure financial compliance with US Customs, government agencies & industry transportation regulations. Responsible for leading by example, encouraging and practicing the three basic beliefs on a daily basis. Must be able to gain group consensus and work cross functionally to achieve financial results. Authority to hire, coach and terminate staff. 2. Develops Trade Finance programs to improve financial results through finance programs that may include foreign currency hedging, open account alternatives, supplier/bank pre & post export financing, revolving Letter of Credits, etc.
