Job Description:
Location: United States, Various ports of call
Work Status: Contract; 6-7 months - renewable
Salary: $1100/month +tips and babysitting money
(Boarding and Meals included)
General Conditions
Our client is a well known cruise ship company operating out of the United States. They are looking for bright, energetic candidates who are available for contract work.
Job Duties
- Maintaining high level of patience, energy and enthusiasm while participating with all children
- Ensuring friendly, jovial and positive attitude with children and parents at all times
- Abiding by rules and regulations set forth by company and/or ship's command (including all safety drills & training exercises)
- Ensure the playroom is cleaned & organized as per standards established at the end of each shift
- To arrive at work during the specific times listed on your schedule. Comply with the rotation of different parts of the schedule while following good time-keeping practices
- Provide safe, fun-filled and age appropriate activities for each group
- Ensuring you are in clean company specified uniform and good hygiene at all times
- Be aware of all activities outlines in the Camp Guidelines and inform the guests accordingly if asked
- To follow all USPH & SMS procedures
- To communicate and cooperate with all other team members to ensure a positve work environment is present
- To maintain that Camp supplies and property are kept in good order and if need replaced
- Providing babysitting services for guests
- Implement activities as scheduled by Youth Director
- Maintain friendly and positive guest service/hospitality while exceeding the guests expectations on and off duty - Inform Youth Director/Asst. Youth Director of all incidents which would require thier attention
- All other duties deemed necessary by the Youth director, Hotel Director or Shoreside Management
Job Requirements:
The Job Holder MUST Have
- Post secondary diploma or degree in;
Child care
Psychology
Recreation
Special Needs
Early childhood education
OR
Experience for at least 2 years in;
Summer Camp/Sports Camp/Special Needs Camp
YMCA or after school program
Coaching
Any professional child care setting
- English (write, read and speak)
- Ability to obtain a passport
- Criminal Check to be completed
- 20+ years of age
- First Aid / CPR Certification
Other Expectations
- Commit to a 6 month contract
-Purchase of a ticket to your first home based port
- Willing to share a cabin
- Willing to transfer ship at short notice if necessary
