Job Description:
Responsibilities: · Prepare and manage the plant's annual budget including monthly forecasts · Lead and execute month-end close activities including reporting and variance analysis · Fixed asset and inventory control and reconciliation to include leading the annual physical inventory · Coordinate the plant's capital project process including reviewing and approving capital project requests, identifying obsolescence and project expenses, preparing financial justifications, and ensuring timely creation of assets in SAP · Support the plant in generating or quantifying cost savings opportunities and support the plant management team in the implementation of cost reduction initiatives · Lead weekly review of prior week and month to date results · Prepare economic cost studies for projects concerning new or existing products, manufacturing processes, equipment, or facility · Annually review and audit internal control procedures in order to sustain SOX and Nafta compliance and manage/minimize financial risk at the facility · Respond quickly and accurately to customer requests, including special projects and other duties or analysis as requested by plant or divisional leadership · Support and lead the coordination of all plant internal and external financial and operational audits and address any audit findings with plant and divisional leadership Qualifications: Required Qualifications · Bachelor degree in accounting or finance · Minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience in a repetitive product manufacturing environment. Additional education may substitute for years of experience.
