Job Description:
Our client specializes in a variety of fields including engineering, project management, environmental management, quality assurance and quality control, and laboratory services. They have been in operation for over 35 years.
Job Responsibilities:
1) Plan and conduct project tasks
2) Devise new approaches, apply existing criteria in new ways, and draw conclusions from comparative situations
3) Provide engineering services in the form of conceptual layout review
4) Manage detailed engineering calculations for project designing, surface/underground mine infrastructure and development projects
5) Create plans, designs, and calculations using engineering formulas
6) Design concrete and steel buildings including foundations
7) Serve as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams
8) Review plans and prepare technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates
9) Participate in contract bidding
10) Compute, represent characteristics and dimensions of mechanical parts, and enclosures
11) Observe project action on-site
12) Supervise less experienced engineers and/or technical support teams
Job Requirements:
1) BS in Civil Engineering
2) P. Eng. licence
3) 10 – 15 years of experience in high voltage and steel
4) Experience in protection calculations
5) Power systems background an asset
6) Experience in electrical arrangements
7) Expertise in AutoCAD
8) Knowledge of short circuit calculations
