Job Description:
1. Responsible for all phases of accounts payable including posting of invoices, selecting invoices for payment, printing and mailing checks, ensuring invoices are paid before due dates or discount dates if applicable, and sales tax reports.
2. Responsible for all phases of accounts receivable including preparing monthly payment requests, posting of invoices, receivables, and deposits, ensuring payments are received within due dates.
3. Responsible for all phases of payroll including data entry of time cards, calculation of payroll, printing checks, completion of certified payroll reports, calculating and processing payroll tax payments, and preparing quarterly tax reports.
4. Responsible for the new hire process ensuring Whiteriver Construction is in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to new hires (e.g. ensuring new hires fill out all necessary paper work).
5. Responsible for benefits administration of health insurance and retirement plans
6. Responsible for all phases of job costing including posting of invoices, billings, payments, tracking and adjusting of estimated costs and prices based on approved change orders.
7. Responsible for posting, balancing and reconciling general ledger.
8. Responsible for preparation of interim financial statements for the guidance of management.
9. Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
1. Ability to perform difficult typing and 10-key duties.
2. Good customer service skills in dealing with the public.
3. Advanced MS Office Experience including Outlook, Word, Publisher, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
4. Supervisory and Administrative ability.
5. Community college graduation (or equivalent) in appropriate field.
6. Five (5) years of construction accounting experience, three (3) of which must have included supervision, organization, coordination, and performance of duties at a responsible level in construction
