Responsible for the oversight of the accounting department, including all accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger for a leading general building firm. Will not handle subcontractor payables. Manage a staff of 4. Staff and manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments. Maintain communication with all Divisions to ensure proper coding and payment of all overhead invoices. Provide monthly overhead analysis reports to each Division. Review cash requirements and approve the processing of all vendor payments. Review all payroll checks and apply facsimile signature. Make daily deposits and maintain cash log. Produce monthly closing schedule and ensure timely financial reporting. Prepare & post all monthly journal entries.
