Job Description: The Director of is responsible for the direct management and supervision of the company's state and local income tax section including the accurate and timely corporate state income tax compliance and corporate state income tax quarterly and annual provision compliance. Also responsible for state income tax accounts,compliance, controversy work and planning.1. Leads the state income tax team in state income tax (including Ohio CAT) compliance. Reviews working papers and returns. Leads technology and process improvements to improve tax return compliance process.2. Financial reporting responsibility as it relates to state income tax. Analyze, resolve and document state and local income tax accruals consistent with including the evaluation of uncertain tax positions Enhance processes regarding the same. Partner with business process owners re: same. 3. Identifies, researches, analyzes, documents (and/or review thereof) state income tax positions and issues. Articulates resolution to senior management.4. Leads state income tax team on tax audits and controversies. Develop strategies to defend state income tax positions.5. Champions and implements tax strategies, credits and incentives. Job Requirements: 1. Baccalaureate degree in Accounting or Tax and at least seven years of state income tax experience required.CPA and/or law.2. Innovative/Creative problem solving and diagnostic skill set. Excellent business acumen with a soundunderstanding of the tax implications of a multi-national operations.3. Excellent written and oral communication/interaction skills required.
