Job Description:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: All engineering positions: Degree in professional engineering. This must be demonstrated by (1) Professional Engineer Registration or (2) Written test or (3) Specific Academic Courses-60 semester hours in physical, mathematical, & engineering sciences or (4) Related Curriculum-Completion of bachelor's degree in engineering technology/professional field provided applicant has 1 year of professional engineering experience under professional engineering supervision/guidance. Geologist: Degree: geology, plus 20 additional semester hours in a combination of classes. Architect: Degree in architecture or related field. OR a combination of education and experience. Also, applicants must have 1 year of SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE equivalent to at least the GS-12 or next lower pay band in the Federal service and is further defined as providing program management and project coordination as a technical leader in planning civil works projects. Experience must have provided the following knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of the Architect-Engineer contracting program to interpret and apply regulations to accomplish assignments within applicable guidelines. Skill to lead team members comprised of a diverse and technical background. Ability to participate in acquisition planning and prepare detailed descriptions of project features, design criteria, technical standards, and performance schedules.
