Job Description:
-Required: CPA and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or similar),
with a higher education degree being a plus.
-Needed: Corporate Accounting [SAP],
Corporate Reporting system [HFM],
SOX, and SEC reporting.
-Primary Objective: Insure accuracy of financial close
and reporting processes, and to support management with
insightful analysis of business results.
-Responsibilities will include: Support month-end
close process by reviewing financial records,
and prepare journal entries.
Analyze financial data and turn it into meaningful financial reports,
and review all financial reports to insure accuracy.
Provide meaningful insight to management on the key drivers
of variances and fluctuations on financial reports.
Be responsible for accuracy and completeness of balance sheets.
Insure that financial statements from source G/L systems [SAP]
are properly mapped and reconciled to
the Corporate Reporting system [HFM].
Be responsible for completion of monthly close packages and
quarterly disclosure packages to insure accurate SEC reporting.
Identify opportunities for reducing cost and/or improving efficiencies.
Ensure financial integrity including compliance with SOX and GAAP.
Review and reconcile marketing program accruals and deductions.
Prepare various ad hoc reports and provide detailed analysis
of data as requested by management.
Support the monthly intercompany reconciliation process as needed.
Foster open communication with all internal customers.
Provide general ledger, fixed asset, and ad hoc support to
financial colleagues at factory locations.
-Experience: This position obviously requires a minimum of five
(preferably more) years accomplishing roles similar to those outlined here –
showing a progression through accounting functions.
-Competencies: Excellent oral and written communication skills,
along with strong organizational skills plus negotiation abilities.
Clearly needed are quality computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
