Responsibilities: Supervise review of customer contracts and purchase orders for proper revenue recognition in accordance with the company policy and relevant revenue accounting literature. Manage and develop a staff of 4-5 in the areas of Revenue recognition, order management, credit management, billing, and cash applications world wide. Develop career path opportunities for your staff. Analyze, interpret and influence complex arrangements to maximize the benefit of proper revenue recognition. Educate the Sales Force with respect to revenue recognition policies in an effort to better equip the team in contract negotiations, and revenue forecasting. Develop and maintain methodology for testing and documentation of for maintenance and support, as well as other components of revenue accounting. Sarbanes-Oxley revenue cycle process owner. Responsible for revenue cycle process documentation, control implementation and internal audit self-assessment testing ensuring compliance with section 4Firm4 of the Act. Direct and coordinate the preparation and consolidation of monthly, quarterly and annual revenue management reports, including revenue forecasts. Maintain a close working relationship with the company's internal and external auditors regarding all audit requirements related to revenue and contractual obligations.
