Job Description:
Reporting Manager level Consultant for a six (6) month assignment. The consultant will report to the Director, External Reporting and will be responsible for overseeing the month-end close process, posting journal entries, maintaining the Corporate G/L, reconciling/analyzing balance sheet accounts, coordinating the fixed assets process, and driving the compilation of the monthly and quarterly forecast. Ownership of the preparation of the quarterly and annual filings. Specific Responsibilities to include:Responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities operations associated with the corporate general ledger, which includes accrued expenses, prepaid expenses and fixed assets. Overseeing the month-end close process, this position will perform the consolidation. and maintaining the G/L. Track/forecast key balance sheet accounts, including other current liabilities, prepaid expenses, accrued and accrued compensation along with all of the Corporate expense accounts. Conduct monthly Balance Sheet reviews. Assist in Preparation and review quarterly and annual filings. Assist in providing requests from external audit firm for quarterly and year-end audits. Review and analyze various balance sheet and income statement accounts for correctness. Analyze trends and variances at the department level on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Maintain accounting policies and recommend changes to procedures to ensure all financial transactions are controlled, executed and documented according to Firm.
