Job Description:
Responsible for overall skill level, development & training, performance, work quality and retention of assigned staff. Essential Functions: Provide guidance for all architectural planning aspects of projects. Coordinate work and project requirements with Project Managers and other departments. Actively participate with creativity and foresight as a member of project teams. Ensure that the discipline members strive for efficiency in terms of technical application, schedule, budget and manpower throughout the production process. Assist the Director of Quality and other departments in the development and monitoring of the firm's architectural standards, policy and procedures. Support all ISO and Six Firm initiatives. Be accountable for the overall management and staffing of the group. Plan and effectively utilize general time to advance the quality and efficiency of the group. Maintain close contact with the group staff in order to assure high morale, design quality and production efficiency. Determines staffing needs and makes decisions regarding hiring and dismissals. Function as a major client contact, assuring that client needs are met. See that satisfactory relationships are maintained with clients, consultants and other vested interests. Participant in the continuing evolution of the firm's marketing plan. Maintain close contact with clients and other departments in order to assure high client satisfaction. Assist Business Development, Marketing, and Project Managers in responding to new business opportunities, including preparing proposals and participating in presentations. Develop new group competencies to support target markets. Strive to achieve the firm's financial goals. Understand and manage the group in a financially responsible manner.
