Job Description:
This position ensures that customers' accounts are accurately maintained and up to date and manages the credit extension and collection of receivables to ensure that the assets of the Company are properly controlled and safeguarded. With multi-billion dollar annual sales , this position is successful through excellence in credit extension, maintaining excellent relationships with the customers and internal client groups and has the ability to influence them to continually accelerate cash receipts, reduce the Accounts Receivable balance, drive efficiency, and work proactively to minimize bad debt risk. It is key that this position recruits, trains and motivates a team of associates to ensure that they are highly skilled and effective, collecting monies promptly to minimize the bad debt risk for Mars Pet Care. This position also ensures that the Trade Accounts Receivable accounts are properly stated on the company's balance sheet. Principal Accountabilities Manage the accounts receivable portfolio including establishing account credit limits, authorizing the release/hold of customer shipments and evaluating financial risk. Proactively develop relationships within customers' financial operation; ascertain reasons and philosophies behind customer's non-payment and assist the customer and account team with implementing agreed-to solutions to reduce receivables.
