About the Position: As Chief, Quality Assurance Section, assures that the Section's long-term goals support overall District, Division, and Branch policy and strategic goals. Prepares, manages, and executes budgets utilizing sound business, technical and financial management principles and practices to ensure resources are applied to maximum effectiveness. Identifies and utilizes cost-effective approaches for controlling expenses and reducing costs. Establishes effective internal controls to ensure prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse, and foster accountability within the workforce. Assures all construction is performed in accordance with plans and specifications. Reviews operations of field offices to determine general adequacy, efficiency, and adherence to criteria and policies pertaining to the major aspects of construction. Issues instructions to correct deficiencies and improve construction quality.
