Job Description:
Responsible for oversight of conventional communications equipment including fiber optics, cabling, radio, commercial and military fixed and transportable satellite systems; and marine and aviation navigational aides. Serves as the evaluator, and expert technical advisor for the operation, maintenance, and installation of a wide variety of communications capabilities utilized in support of technical and administrative operations.Qualifications:Click on link below to view qualification standard. General Schedule Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant to perform the duties of this position such as: (1) Knowledge of as wide range of telecommunications concepts, principles, and practices to serve as the technical expert and to advise, monitor, evaluate, international government agencies, contractors, outside government agencies, and others who furnish communications support. (2) Knowledge of contracting procedures sufficient to evaluate and make recommendations on scopes of work for telecommunications and automation projects.
