Job Description:
We have an immediate opening for an Business Process Improvement Manager focusing heavily on our corporate and plant transactional processes. This will include facilitation of cross functional teams using Kaizen methodology, problem solving, process management, and incentive for change initiatives. Efforts will include assessment, training, and communications management. This position will be located at our Parma, Ohio facility.
The primary responsibility of this position is to drive continuous improvement of GrafTech business processes at the corporate and plant levels through a very thorough understanding of Lean techniques and accurately identifying change initiatives. To this end he/she will:
• Focus on transactional improvements.
• Set the Business Process strategy with the assistance of Senior Staff.
• Develop the annual plan for Business Processes improvement.
• Plan, lead, and manage development and post analysis of Kaizen events.
• Train in all Lean tools and methodologies.
• Serve as a corporate subject matter expert for all Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma needs.
• Identify, refine, document and communicate process improvements to the various sites as well as facilitate implementation.
• Ensure plan adherence through work processes and systems.
• Collaborate with corporate HR to ensure incentive programs are in place to support initiatives.
• Conduct evaluations to ensure gains are maintained and built upon.
Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or similar technical field, Masters Degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant Business/Industry experience improving processes using Kaizen and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Six Sigma Certification and additional Lean Manufacturing Certification preferred.
• 2+ years of demonstrated project management experience with documented change management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Financial, Legal, IT, R&D, HR, Sales, Safety, Marketing and other business processes.
• Ability to manage cross functional teams through an improvement process.
• Up to 25% International and domestic travel is required.
• Demonstrated mastery of analytical skills, accomplishment of objectives, and enterprise excellence.
