Job Description:
The Program Manager (Material Management) will complete program responsibility and authority to manage all program subcontracts, materials and services. The incumbent will be responsible for managing definition of program outsourcing requirements, and leading program team and direct functional organizations to achieve program objectives (cost, schedule, quality and technical performance), while managing risks and opportunities.
This position will manage materials definition and configuration management by managing program team member’s support from product engineering, process engineering, and configuration management. In addition, the Program Manager (Material Management) will ensure program budget, materials availability, quality and technical performance are met by managing and directing the activities of team members from Material Planning, Scheduling, Configuration Management, Procurement, Receiving, Quality Control, Property Management, and Component Inspection.
Successful candidate will act as the Cost Account Manager (CAM) for program materials in support of program EVMS requirements and will establish the material budget allocation and challenges to meet overall program budgetary requirements, then evaluate and manage within those budgets. This position is responsible for resolving contract and subcontract issues and assisting with proposal/CCN preparation. Further, the Program Manager (Material Management) will promote a focus on safety and employee Lean/PES/Six Sigma tools throughout program planning and implementation.
Job Requirements:
BS/BA in Business or Engineering.
Candidates are required to have a minimum of 5 years experience managing programs, subcontracts, materials, and/or services. Aerospace and/or DoD experience is desired. Working knowledge of EVMS is required. CAM experience is preferred. Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, financial systems, FAR, and ITAR is required.
Demonstrated leadership experience is required.
