Job Description:
UEC Electronics, LLC is a comprehensive electronic product development, software & hardware engineering and electronics assembly provider. We offer a full range of electronic design, prototyping, assembly, and integration services for a divers group of clients and industries. We specialize in electronic controls and displays, automatic test systems, custom cable assemblies, and a variety of electro mechanical devices. UEC Electronics located in Hanahan, SC, is searching for an experienced Drafter.
Candidate will be responsible for engineering design and documentation support as well as other production support efforts. The candidate will transform verbal instructions and rough mechanical, electrical, and electronic product designs into working documents using computer aided design (CAD) tools. Candidate will review engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards; manage drawing libraries and change control process; create bid packages from drawings; and create BOM's. Ideal candidate will be able to create electrical drawing packages to MIL standards.
Position requirements: AS/BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent OJT experience with 3-5+ years applicable experience. Must have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in mechanical, electrical and electronics drafting. Fluency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D Solid Works is highly desired. Ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
