Job Description:
Position Summary
Organizes, plans, and conducts periodic reviews of bank and subsidiary activities. This position assesses the internal controls, operations, and administrative functions for efficiency and effectiveness. Reviews and monitors policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state banking regulations and our corporate compliance program.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist with and provide oversight of compliance audits of the bank and its subsidiaries to ensure compliance with state and federal banking and other related regulations and legislation.
2. Documents reviews, noting any discrepancies.
3. Investigates discrepancies and makes recommendations for corrective action.
4. Assembles necessary information, work papers, and documents.
5. Reports the audit results to management, periodically.
6. Analyze and interpret regulatory changes; serve as a change advocate for the organization.
7. Assist with ad hoc corporate-wide projects; ability to assume leadership role in such projects.
8. Serve on compliance-related work groups and committees.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• Minimum of 6-10 years of directly related experience. Examination experience with a banking regulatory agency and/or CRCM preferred.
• Position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong computer skills i.e. Excel-advanced skill level; Word, PowerPoint as well as experience with industry related systems/software are a must.
• The ideal candidate will also possess sound organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Solid communication skills, both oral and written are necessary.
