AIS Environmental Management
Position - Systems Integrator
Overview: This position will report to the Systems Integrator Environment Lead and perform Environment Management functions for CT Applications. This role will be for non-production environments. Standard hours of support are M-F 8-5, with off-hours and weekends upon request including Level 3 support of production problems and production implementations.
Overall Experience:
• 3-10+ years experience in the configuration and support of Web Services based environments.
A. Technical skills
1. Candidates must demonstrate fundamental knowledge in the following areas:
• Understand the Development Lifecycle.
• 5+ years of experience on WebLogic, Apache and/or I-Planet platforms • Understand how to build, configure, and maintain test environments • Understand basic Configuration Management and Release Management principles.
• Understand system monitoring and maintenance • Experience in entering, severity leveling, tracking, and reporting defects.
Job Requirements:
• Ability to install, configure, integrate, and document environment infrastructure components on Unix, Solaris and LINUX platforms • Use of scripting and editing tools in UNIX, Solaris and LINUX environments. This includes of viewing files, modifying files, creating scripts for automating installation of components, executing scripts, and troubleshooting errors encountered.
• Ability of create operational documentation (instructions) for IPS to use for production implementation • Understand the use of queries in a relational database environment for manipulation of data and how to execute them • Understanding of basic OS functionality, commonly used UNIX, Solaris and LINUX commands and their options.
• Understanding of Java and J2EE applications • Understanding of HTML and XML • Understanding of BEA Weblogic 7.1/8.1/9.1/10 This includes installation, configuration, and administration • Understanding of I Planet Web Server 6.0. This includes installation, configuration, and administration.
• Understanding of Apache 2.0 Web Server. This includes installation, configuration, and administration.
• Understanding of IIS 5.0/6.0 Web Server.
