Job Description:
Responsibilities : Ensures the delivery of timely and accurate economic capital results by: o Leading the practical implementation of Aviva plc\'s economic capital framework as it applies to US products o Developing analysis and communication tools in order to efficiently explain results to management. o Ensuring economic capital appropriately reflects the risks within the company. o Determining allocation of economic capital to different lines of business. o Determining how to incorporate risks currently not included within the economic capital framework. o Assisting in determining ways of effectively managing capital. o Producing projections of future economic capital needs. Requirements : a four-year college degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or other related field. A minimum of 8 years experience in the life insurance industry is required. Associate or Fellow in the Society of Actuaries is required. Strong knowledge of financial markets, life/annuity products, actuarial finance, and actuarial modeling. Strong organizational, communication and leadership skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships are required. Experience in MS Office (Excel, Access, etc.) Actuarial software experience is required. Two (2) to three (3) years of management experience is required and the ability to manage a medium sized staff of professional actuaries is required.
