Objective:
Gain an entry level position as a junior engineer to expand my base of knowledge to the applied fields while working under other professional engineers as an Engineer-in-Training.

Renovations Team Member, April 2007 to September 2007
Canadian Tire Corporation, 127 Stone Rd. Guelph, Ontario

Worked in unsupervised teams of 2 to 5 people completely revamping the entire store layout including construction and re-merchandising aisles.

Completed relocation and organization of the store's entire warehouse into a 25% less area than the original warehouse.

While renovations project was on hold, I worked in the seasonal department aiding customers.

Heavy Equipment Operator, Conditioning Department, April to September, 2005 & 2006
Lake Erie Steel, Nanticoke (Currently U.S. Steel Canada)

Operated a 150 tonne slab hauler performing various tasks with raw slabs of steel either hot or cold.

Coordinated between the Strip Mill and the Caster Mill, ensuring both mills had the appropriate amount of materials/space without having to halt production

Performed manual labour and safety man duties.

Performed inventory tasks by updating slab yards when required, generally 750 - 1250 slabs were checked per shift.

Gained respect and appreciation for safety of myself and others while working in an industrial environment.

Worked alternating day/night shift.


Stock House Beltman, Blast Furnace, Summer 2004
Lake Erie Steel, Nanticoke (Currently U.S. Steel Canada)

Responsible for keeping the stock house belts that fed the furnace clean.

Worked in unison with the furnace supervisor over a 2-way radio to fix any problems that would arise.

General labour including; shoveling, lifting, maneuvering and performing tasks in tight spaces, operating frontend loaders and bobcats.

I ran my own business as a fully certified Red Cross swimming instructor in my backyard teaching swimming lessons to children and teenagers whose ages ranged from 3 - 14.
