Experience: 3/2008 ~ Present Bourns Automotive Division 3rd Shift Clean Room Maintenance Technician – This position is working with various machines that manufacture sensors for steering control and braking control for various automotive manufactures. Most of the work is done inside a clean room environment. There are times when I am called out to the main floor to work on various plastic injection machines or terminal benders / cutters. I am also assisting with writing up the s.o.p.’s for the Lockout / Tagout to be used in all 3 clean rooms.

Repair and maintain National brand forge presses from 1300 ton up 3000 ton. Repair and maintain various trim presses i.e. Minster, Clearing, and Roussel. Work with light curtain and various safety switches. Work on Roto-Finish vibes, and various versions of Wisconsin brand Furnaces, ovens, and agers. Install, repair, and maintain various compressors. Assist construction manger with layout and power requirements of new 10k square addition to existing building, including cad drawings of where and how the buss bar should be mounted and sizes and design and layout of the compressor room to be built. Work with various vendors on repairs beyond my scope both on obtain parts and repairs to be done on equipment in the building as well as the new construction to the building. Compose work instructions on various equipment in building. Instrumental in getting all pipes in building marked and painted per OSHA standards. Assist with updating Lockout/Tag out procedures. Work with various vendors on ordering supplies on both daily usage and for stock items. Computerize maintenance log to track repairs and parts to used and ordered for various machines in the building. 4/2006 ~ 5/2007 Rochelle Foods/ Hormel, Rochelle, IL Reason for leaving: Went to work in this 3rd shift role to be able to be home with Daughter who had medical difficulties requiring Parent to be available during the day to assist with schooling needs… Migraine Health Problems that have since been resolved. E-Tech - An E-Tech at Rochelle is responsible for all equipment in the building. Go-to guy for Troubleshooting role. Main responsibility is to ensure all equipment is running that processes the food products in the building. It has been said that an E-Tech is the last line in defense. Each department has its own mechanical people and electricians. If these people cannot fix a piece of equipment an E-Tech is called in. We have to fix that equipment. An E-Tech is also responsible for the phone system, warning system, and card access to the building, computers both wired and wireless, in short everything. We work on old relay type system up and including state of the art plc’s and vision system. 3/2005 ~ 4/2006 MCMACHINERY / Mitsubishi EDM Laser Reason for leaving: The job turned out to be 100% travel and significantly misrepresented. Due to personal family needs took 3rd shift job at Rochelle Foods. Field Service Engineer - Travel territory was East of the Rocky Mountains installing and repairing various EDM and Roku CNC mills.

Mechanical / Electrical Engineer - Job duties include but not limited to repair and maintenance on cnc mils and EDM machines. Do service calls for various clients on EDM machines. Install upgrades on existing machines on client’s floor. Rebuild old machine tool frames into new retrofit kits on EDM machines. Trouble shoots cnc mills using prints and basic ladder logic. Left to join former customer”Hausermann.” Platform Engineer - They manufacture battery adaptors and chargers for the hand tool industry, and cell phone industry. They also assembly PCA’s for various clients and have recently moved in to the area of solenoid assembly and manufacture. Duties: To act as a liaison between our US clients and the china manufacture plant. Take on new projects and assist client with the R&D of that project and coordinate the search for specific components inherent to the project, samples of that product for the clients acceptance, coordinate the approvals with various agencies through out the world (UL, CSA, CE, JET, etc), and finally assist in the startup of production for the clients product. Set up of the test center and lab in the US Office. Recommended and set up the computer system for the US Office. Worked with various cad/cam programs and gerber programs in printing out various prints and board layouts on the projects as well as setting up the v-maps on the pcb’s for approval status and guidelines.
