Selected Accomplishments

Managed the complete renovation of a wet lab. With a staff of approximately 24 people using this chemistry lab, the task of doing a complete modernization was daunting. Electrical, heating, cooling and plumbing systems were changed. Flooring was redone. All new lab furniture and benches were brought in. Worked with the R&D Director to insure we stayed within budget. After 6 weeks of hard work the entire laboratory looked great and stayed within budget.

Increased production significantly and resolved a major problem with production in that I discovered a process flaw that allowed the fabric to be skewed while the machine was running. After maintenance fixed the problem, that loom stopped having a defect that was found in the fabric for months prior.

Organized and Implemented a safety program in a laboratory that was not up to OSHA standards. Implementation of these new measures led to no written or verbal OSHA complaints when the laboratory was inspected. Having an excellent safety record means increased profitability, via lower insurance premiums, for the company.

Co-authored 2 U.S. patents for unique inkjet coating inventions. Utilized DOE (Design Of Experiments) to perform vast arrays of testing platforms. This allowed my product manager and me to keep within a path of development, and not stray towards wasteful and time consuming lab testing.
